Getting Started / Launch the Application

To convert HEIC images into JPG or PNG without losing quality, follow these steps:


1. Press Windows + S and type HEIC Converter.

2. Select the best result and double-click the search result. Alternatively, you can click Open from the right pane to launch the program.

Add Folder / Add HEIC Images

Besides drag and drop, you can use Add Folder or Add HEIC Images button to add HEIC files.


1. Use any button to add HEIC files.

2. Select the format to convert HEIC images.

By default, added files will be converted to JPG format. To change the format, follow these steps.

Choose the PNG file formats > the output path and proceed with the conversion.

Additional Settings - HEIC Converter

Additional Settings make the conversion of HEIC photos customizable. You can decide whether to keep, skip or replace the original file. Moreover, you can set the thread count to be used during conversion.

1.   File Overwrite Action

You can choose various options like Keep Both, Replace or Skip to decide whether or not to keep the original HEIC file.

Apart from customizing the file overwrite action, you can set the conversion speed using the slider. The higher the number faster the conversion speed. This means more device resources will be used.

Getting Started / Output Path

After selecting the format to convert the HEIC file, you can decide whether to keep EXIF data. Also, you can set the Output path to save converted images.


1.    Keep EXIF data: If you don’t want anyone to know about the EXIF metadata, like location, device user, etc., uncheck this option before converting the image.

2.    Output Path: Saving the converted file to a new location helps differentiate between the two pictures. To save images to a user-specified location, click Custom directory. Browse where you want to save the output file and proceed with the conversion.

However, if you want to keep both images in the same location, select Save to the same directory option before converting the image.

Summary

Once the HEIC files are converted, you get the summary of the action performed. Here you will see the total number of images converted and their success and failure numbers.
